Marko Marjanovic is a highly experienced attorney, prosecutor, public servant, and criminal justice policy expert who has dedicated the bulk of his career to keeping Jefferson Parish a safe place to live, work, and raise a family.

For the past three years, he has faithfully served the parish as Executive Counsel for Sheriff Joseph P. Lopinto III. In this role, he represents the men and women of the Sheriff's Office, manages all legal casework, and works with the Jefferson Parish Council to draft ordinances and resolutions.

Prior to joining the Sheriff's Office, Marko served as an Assistant Attorney General under now-Governor Jeff Landry, prosecuting criminal jury trials across the State. He also worked for the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry (LABI), assisting with initiatives to encourage judicial accountability and transparency. Before that, Marko practiced civil defense work for Allstate Insurance Company and served as a prosecutor in the Jefferson Parish District Attorney's Office, where he tried both jury and bench trials across multiple divisions and courts.

Marko lives in Metairie with his wife Katie Rittiner Marjanovic and is the father of two terrific kids: Annabella Grace (9) and Parker Luka (5), both students at St. Catherine of Siena in Metairie. He is a graduate of the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center (J.D.) and the LSU Manship School of Mass Communication (B.A.).

Marko serves as Executive Counsel to Sheriff Joseph P. Lopinto III, representing the men and women of the Sheriff's Office and managing all legal matters for one of Louisiana's largest law enforcement agencies.
